I'm Mateus, founder of RetroIA — and this product started with a box of old photos and a broken heart.
When someone very close to our family passed away, we found a box filled with old physical photos. The images were folded, scratched, faded beyond recognition. In some of them, we could barely make out the faces of the people we loved.
I've been in tech since I was 11 years old — my first lines of code on a TK85 computer. I spent my entire career building systems for corporations. But holding those photos in my hands, I realized: my knowledge had to serve what actually matters.
