RetroBase

The operating system for retro game stores

RetroBase is the operating system for used and retro game stores. Manage everything between trade-in and ready to sell. Track what’s been tested, cleaned, repaired, priced, and photographed so every item keeps moving toward the shelf. Your POS handles the sale. RetroBase handles everything before it, giving your team a clear process instead of spreadsheets, sticky notes, and guesswork.

Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I’m Buri, the solo founder behind RetroBase. I started building RetroBase after talking to owners of retro game stores. Something surprised me: nearly every store had a POS system, but almost none had software for everything that happens before the sale. Trade-ins needed to be tested, cleaned, repaired, priced, photographed, and finally put on the shelf. Most stores tracked that work with spreadsheets, sticky notes, whiteboards, or simply memory. That’s the gap I wanted to solve. RetroBase doesn’t replace the POS. It complements it by managing the entire intake-to-shelf process. Building for such a niche market has been challenging, but it’s also been incredibly rewarding because every conversation with store owners directly shapes the product. I’d really appreciate your honest feedback. Whether it’s about the product, positioning, or launch itself, I’m here to learn. Thanks for checking out RetroBase!
