RETRO//CAPTURE

Turn packet captures into repeatable stress tests

RETRO//CAPTURE is a desktop and mobile toolkit for recording network traffic, converting PCAPs into reusable packet chains, and launching authorized resilience tests from anywhere.

Top comment

Hi Product Hunt,

I built RETRO//CAPTURE for teams that need a more repeatable way to test network resilience.

A common problem after an incident is that teams know “traffic broke something,” but they do not have a clean way to reproduce the traffic shape later. RETRO//CAPTURE helps by recording approved traffic, converting PCAPs into reusable packet chains, and letting teams replay those patterns as part of an authorized stress-testing workflow.

The goal is not to generate random noise. The goal is repeatable validation:

• capture real traffic
• build a reusable chain
• replay it against infrastructure you own or have permission to test
• monitor what breaks
• fix it
• retest with the same profile

I would love feedback from SREs, network engineers, game server operators, and security teams.
