ResumeSkip
Tailor the resume you already have to any job post
Every job posting wants slightly different words for the same work you've already done. ResumeSkip reads your existing resume and the job posting, then reorders and rephrases what's actually in your history so it matches the posting's language, without adding a skill, title, or job you never had. In under a minute you get a tailored resume, a cover letter, or a set of likely interview questions with answer hints, all pulled from your real experience.
Hey Product Hunt,
I built ResumeSkip because I was tired of the two bad options every
time I applied to a job: send the same generic resume everywhere and
hope, or spend 20 minutes in Word manually rewording bullet points
to match each posting's keywords.
The tools I tried to speed that up had a worse problem. Ask most
"AI resume" generators to tailor your resume and they'll happily
invent a certification you don't have, or round "helped with the
budget" up to "managed a $2M budget." That gets your callback rate
up right until someone asks about it in the interview.
So ResumeSkip only works with what's actually in your resume. Import
your existing one (PDF, DOCX, RTF, text, or just paste your LinkedIn
profile), paste a job posting, and it reorders and rephrases your
real experience to match the posting's language. It will not add a
job, title, skill, or date that isn't already there. If you didn't
do it, it won't say you did.
A few things I'd love feedback on:
- The ATS scorecard (Pro): shows matched and missing keywords before
you submit, instead of guessing why you didn't hear back.
- Interview prep: same run pool as resumes/cover letters, generates
likely questions with answer hints grounded in your actual history.
- The application tracker: move each role through Applied,
Screening, Interview, Offer, linked to the exact resume version
you sent.
Free plan gets you 10 resume bases and 10 runs every 30 days, no
credit card. Would genuinely appreciate you trying it on a real job
posting and telling me where the output feels off, generic, or
(worst case) inaccurate. That last one especially: honesty is the
whole point of the product, so if it ever invents something, I want
to know immediately.
Thanks for taking a look.

ResumeSkip was hunted by Caden Sumner. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
