I'm excited to launch **RepoSage** today.
The idea came from a frustration I kept running into when exploring new GitHub repositories. Whether I was evaluating an open-source project, onboarding to a codebase, or trying to understand an unfamiliar implementation, I found myself spending too much time jumping between files, searching for functions, and piecing together how everything worked.
So I built **RepoSage** — a tool that lets you **chat with any public GitHub repository using AI**.
Simply paste a GitHub URL and ask questions in plain English:

🔍 "Which files handle database operations?"
Under the hood, RepoSage uses FastAPI, BM25 search, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Claude API, and real-time streaming to retrieve relevant code context and generate accurate answers.
