Since our January launch, RenameClick has grown from batch naming and category sorting into a repeatable filing workflow for Mac and Windows.
Here’s what’s new:
• Audio naming: an optional on-device transcription model reads spoken MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A and AAC recordings so they can get names based on what was said. It’s for speech, not song recognition.
• Auto Flow: watch incoming folders with separate instructions and settings per rule. Connect rules so one step’s applied output becomes the next step’s input. Leave Auto Apply off to review, or enable it for a hands-off workflow while the app is running.
• More ways to organize: use AI categories, build nested folders from dates and EXIF, or let AI choose among your existing project, client or archive folders.
• AI Search: find images and documents by what they contain, even when their filenames don’t help.
Custom instructions are still there when you want specific details or a particular naming style. Naming and folder categorization have separate controls.
For local processing, install and select Local AI; audio transcription has its own optional model download. Other provider choices depend on the edition. The Mac App Store build is accountless and excludes cloud AI providers.
You can analyze and preview files for free. The free plan includes 30 successful rename/move operations a month; Pro removes the apply limit.
