RemoveMacAI
Turn off Apple Intelligence on macOS 27 and get 12 GB back
A free, open source Mac app that turns off Apple Intelligence and deletes its models, plus privacy, Finder and Dock tweaks, background items and storage cleanup. You review every change before it runs, and there's an undo page for everything. SIP stays on and it makes no network requests.
hey hunters
macOS 27 took away the one switch for apple intelligence, so turning it off means hunting through about a dozen settings, and the models still sit on your disk taking around 12 GB
i don't like how big tech keeps shoving AI in our face, so i wrote a command that rips it out. a lot of people wanted it but didn't want terminal, so 1.0 is a proper mac app now
you see every change before it runs, you can keep any feature you actually use, and there's an undo page for all of it
it's free and open source, would love to hear what you think
