Who hunted RemoTune?
RemoTune was hunted by E.S. Lee. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community. Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I’m the maker of RemoTune.
I built it because I’m the kind of person who hates getting up for tiny things.
My music usually plays through speakers connected to my Mac. But when I’m on the couch, sitting out on the terrace, or even in the bathroom, walking back to my desk just to pause a song, skip a track, or change the volume feels like way too much effort for such a small task.
There are already plenty of remote-control apps, but I didn’t want a full remote-control suite. I just wanted a clean, focused app for play, pause, skip, seek, and volume.
My phone is almost always with me, so I built RemoTune to make that simple.
With RemoTune, you can:
- Play, pause, skip, seek, and control your computer’s volume
- Use YouTube Music, Apple Music, and other media players
- Use iPhone or Android with Windows or macOS
- Connect in seconds with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or a quick QR code scan
- Use all playback and volume controls for free, with no account required
It started as a tiny convenience for myself, but I figured I probably can’t be the only person who thinks getting up just to lower the volume is way too much work. 😄
I’d love to hear what would make RemoTune more useful for you.
