🛠 What inspired us to build this?
Every frontend and fullstack developer knows the pain of an urgent customer bug that you simply cannot reproduce locally. The customer says "the button didn't work," your staging tests pass, and you're left guessing or begging for screenshots and console dumps.
The existing solutions fall into two extremes:
1. Slow screen-sharing calls that disrupt the user.
2. Cloud session replay tools that record everything and upload sensitive user keystrokes, DOM snapshots, and tokens to third-party databases—creating massive security and compliance hurdles.
⚡ How our approach evolved:
We asked: What if we brought full Chrome DevTools to remote browsers without routing session payloads through any cloud server?
We architected ReMOAT entirely around WebRTC DataChannels with DTLS 1.3 encryption:
• 100% Peer-to-Peer: Telemetry streams directly between the remote browser and the engineer’s workstation.
• Zero Cloud Storage: Not a single byte of customer session data is ever recorded or stored on our servers.
• Instant Sub-50ms Latency: Inspect live DOM mutations, CSS rules, network request waterfalls, and console logs in real time.
• Wireless Mobile Debugging: Works seamlessly on Mobile Safari (iOS) and Android WebViews without physical USB cables.
