Relic

A private, synced vault of everything you copy

Relic remembers everything you copy, understands it on-device, and syncs it across your phones and computers, sealed so only you can read it. Save things you want to find more easily later, and bring them up with a hotkey without leaving your keyboard. Works with files, images, text snippets, and anything that might not have a home in your setup.

I built Relic because, to put it bluntly, I was tired of emailing myself stuff. Or sending myself a Slack message, and when I wanted it later, needing to scroll up through the dozens of other random messages to find what I was looking for. Relic solves that issue entirely. Anything you copy is saved and instantly synced across all your devices (Windows, Linux, Mac, iPhone, Android) so you dont even have to think, it's just already there. I built a deep, rich search algorithm that allows you to explore your vault with ease. Full semantic search is supported via vector search, and on-device AI models classify and auto-title and tag things (unless you do it yourself). It supports natural language dates, so things like "github repo from last month" auto apply a filter for you. Everything is configurable, down to the last hotkey. Nothing leaves your computer unencrypted, and you can even self-host Relic for free. BTW, it ships with a CLI so your agents can interact with your vault as well. It's the greatest thing I've ever built, and I've been building a LOT recently. I'm so excited to work with the community on making relic better, as it's fully open source and self-hostable.

Who hunted Relic?

Relic was hunted by Jordan Gibbs. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
