Hey Product Hunt! I was making a launch video for another project and kept hitting Loom's 5 minute limit. Then I found out the free plan won't even let you download your own video. That was it for me, so I built my own and open sourced it. The idea is you get the quick Loom link and the nice Screen Studio polish from the same recording. Hit stop and the link's already on your clipboard. Later you can open it back up, and it's already zoomed in on your clicks and cleaned up your cursor and audio. Add captions or a background if you want, hit Update Link, and the same link now shows the polished version. Some stuff I cared about: - Free and MIT licensed, written in native Swift - Signed and notarized, so it opens like any other Mac app - No account and no tracking. Share links go to your own storage bucket (Cloudflare R2's free tier works fine) - Records system audio, mic and camera on separate tracks - Has a CLI and an MCP server if you want Claude Code or Cursor to record demos for you It's Mac only, and share links need a bucket you set up once (takes about 10 minutes). Recording and exporting work without it. Would love any feedback, especially if something's confusing or broken!
