Hey Product Hunt! I run Rankshifters, a small SEO agency, and checking redirects is something I do many times a day. DevTools works, but you have to open it before the page loads and switch on Preserve log to keep client-side redirects. Online checkers run from their own servers, so they can't see pages behind your login.
So I built Redirect & Header Checker. Click the icon on any page and you get:
• Every hop with its status code (301, 302, 307, 308), plus meta-refresh and JavaScript redirects
• What changed at each hop: HTTPS upgrade, www added or dropped, trailing slash
• Server IP, time per hop and protocol (HTTP/1.1, 2 or 3)
• The final page's headers grouped into Indexing, Caching, Security and Server, with a checklist that flags things like a stray X-Robots-Tag noindex or missing HSTS
• A trace box that tests any URL (say, the http:// or non-www version) in a hidden tab without your cookies
• Copy the chain, or export everything as JSON
It's free, needs no account, and nothing leaves your browser. It only reads navigation events Chrome already performs and forgets them when the tab closes.
