Catch what you're about to leak

Hi PH, maker here. The problem I kept running into: I'd take a screenshot to ask for help, drop it into Slack or a support ticket or an AI chat, and only notice afterward that there was an API key in the terminal output or a customer email in a table I didn't look at closely. None of my capture tools (CleanShot, Shottr, the built-in macOS tool) actually look at what's in the image before it goes out. They're good at capturing, not at catching. Redaktr does the catching part. It's a native Swift/SwiftUI app. OCR and detection run through Vision and a set of deterministic pattern matchers (regex plus validation, Luhn for card numbers, entropy checks for generic secrets), all on device. Every match gets boxed with a label and a confidence level, you review and toggle before anything is exported. Default output is opaque black bars over the exact matched text, not blur, since blur and pixelation are often recoverable. A few things worth knowing going in: It can miss things. Anything unusual, split across lines, or in a format it doesn't recognize won't get flagged. I built it to bias toward catching high-stakes stuff (keys, tokens, cards) and to ask for review rather than claim it caught everything. If it can't verify something, it shows it as "needs a closer look" instead of silently deciding for you. No network entitlement for the core scanning path. Licensing and update checks do use the network, everything else does not. Happy to have that verified, that claim only matters if people can check it themselves. There's a folder watch mode (scans new screenshots after they're saved, notifies you) and an opt-in clipboard guard, for people who don't want to run it manually every time. Both are off by default. It's a free trial then a one time $39 license, not a subscription. Genuinely interested in the cases where this breaks. If anyone here wants to throw a real (or redacted-in-advance) screenshot at it and it misses something, I want to know exactly what and why. That's the actual product.
