Red Leaves
Guess the Word Β· Receive a Haiku
Red Leaves is a daily six-letter word game where solving the puzzle unlocks a haiku, an original poem written in the classical Japanese tradition, composed specifically for that word. Unlike other daily word games, every word was chosen for its poetic resonance, and every haiku was crafted to reveal something unexpected about that word. The way it sounds, what it conjures, where it sits in the natural world. A new word. A new poem. Every day. π

I created Red Leaves because I wanted a word game that rewarded you with something beautiful instead of just a score.
I felt the daily word game ritual was missing a final beat. Something that made you pause after solving. Haiku felt like the perfect answer. Seventeen syllables that say more than they should.
Every word in the game was chosen because it belongs in a haiku. Every poem was written to reveal something you didn't expect about that word.
Six letters instead of five was a deliberate choice. Mathematically it gives you more information per guess, but more importantly it opens up a richer, more resonant vocabulary.
I hope Red Leaves becomes part of your day. π
