Record Store
Modern S3-compatible object storage
Record Store is a self-hosted, S3-compatible storage service for records that need version history, retention controls and verifiable integrity. Written in Rust, one server, no external database. Apache-2.0, by Open Elements.
We’re the team at Open Elements, and today we’re excited to introduce Record Store.
Record Store is an open-source, self-hosted, S3-compatible object storage platform built for developers and teams that want more control over their data and infrastructure without sacrificing a modern developer experience.
We started building Record Store because we believe object storage should be easier to operate, easier to integrate, and not tied to a single cloud provider.
This is an early release, and we’re actively improving the platform. We’d especially love to hear from developers running self-hosted infrastructure, building cloud platforms, or working with S3-compatible storage.

Who hunted Record Store?
Record Store was hunted by Daniel Ntege. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
