Hey Product Hunt 👋
I’m Rodrigo, and I’ve been working on this native macOS read-later app called ReadControl. I’ve already tried many different read-later apps, but none of the current options fulfill my needs. I wanted a simple native one that doesn’t require a subscription and that I could read offline; that’s why I made ReadControl.
The app is totally free and open-source. It saves your articles locally as Markdown files, and you don’t need an internet connection to read them. You can highlight, tag, and favorite articles, use Focus Mode, switch to dark mode, and customize the font. The macOS client is written in Swift, with the core written in Rust. The idea is to extend the client to other OSs later on.
