Hey ProductHunt — Sushanth here. I'm a solo developer running a portfolio of mobile apps, and ReadAloudAI is my most personal one. I built this because I kept failing to read things I actually wanted to read. Articles saved for later, research PDFs, long newsletters — they'd sit there for weeks. The moment I started listening instead of reading, my backlog disappeared. But every app I tried either had voices that felt like listening to a phone tree, or they only handled one content type (web only, or PDF only, never both). So I built ReadAloudAI around three specific things: The voices. This was the hardest part. There's a wide range in AI voice quality right now, and landing on voices that feel genuinely natural — not just "better than the old Apple TTS" — took a lot of iteration. The difference matters more than it sounds like it would. You notice it after 5 minutes of listening. Multi-source input. Paste a URL, upload a PDF, paste raw text — the app handles the parsing and cleanup so the output doesn't sound like it's reading navigation menus and footer links. Getting clean text out of messy web pages is genuinely tricky. Mobile-first listening sessions. Most TTS tools are desktop-first add-ons. This is built for your phone, in your pocket, on the go. Available on iOS and Android right now. I'd love to hear what you actually try to listen to — that feedback shapes what I build next. Ask me anything.
