I often have random thoughts—a question, an idea, or something I suddenly want to talk about. But I don’t always have someone around who shares that interest at that moment. That inspired me to build RDT: what if I could find someone thinking about the same thing—and start a conversation? I also wanted to discover events near me and find people attending who share my interests and personal characteristics. Going to an event feels more inviting when you can connect with like-minded people beforehand. The name stands for Random Daily Thoughts. The thought might be random, but the connection comes from something we share.

Who hunted RDT?

RDT was hunted by João vitor. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
