Raval
Measure, inspect and annotate any webpage
Raval is a free, open-source Chrome extension for looking closely at any website. Hover for sizes, click for fonts and colours, measure the gaps between elements, drop guides that snap to edges, then mark it up and screenshot it. No digging through DevTools.
Hi, I'm Solomon, a design engineer, and I made Raval.
I like studying design systems and sites from people I look up to in design engineering. I wanted to understand why things look the way they do, and every time that meant opening DevTools and hunting through panels for one gap, one font or one colour. I wanted that to be fun and intuitive instead.
So Raval reads those values straight off the page:
- Inspect: hover for sizes, click text or an element for its font, colours and box values
- Measure: click up to five elements and read the gap between them
- Guides: place guides that snap to element edges, saved per page
- Annotate: callouts, notes, arrows and a pen, then capture the whole view or just a region
It's free, open source, has no account and collects no data.
You can try it without installing anything: there's a live demo on the homepage.
It's for people who obsess over details. I'd love to know whose site you'd inspect first, and what you'd want Raval to tell you about it.

Who hunted Raval?
Raval was hunted by Solomon Akuson. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
