RasterKit

One API for screenshots, PDFs, and OG images

RasterKit turns any URL or HTML into a screenshot, a pixel-perfect PDF, or a templated social image — one API, one key, one subscription instead of three. 100 renders/month free, no card. Built-in caching (cached hits are free), signed URLs for embeds, and an official MCP server so AI agents can render the web as a tool call.

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Paul, solo founder. RasterKit exists because I kept paying three vendors for what is secretly one product: a managed headless browser. Screenshots, HTML-to-PDF, and OG-image generation are all "load page in Chromium, capture output" — so I built one API that does all three and bundled it into a single subscription with a single usage pool. A few things I sweated over: • Caching that's actually free — set cache_ttl and identical requests serve instantly without touching your quota. • Signed URLs — drop a live render straight into an tag or og:image, no backend in the path. • SSRF protection — a URL-rendering API is a proxy into private networks if you're careless. Every request, redirect, and subresource is checked against private/reserved ranges, with 78 attack vectors tested in CI. • An MCP server — Claude/Cursor agents get rasterkit_screenshot, rasterkit_pdf, and rasterkit_generate_image as native tools. Fun fact: every image in this gallery was rendered by the API itself. Free tier is 100 renders/month, no card.
