I'm Asher, I make Radiance with a small team of designers, developers and artists.
If you're picky about your wallpaper, you've probably tried a wallpaper app, and you've probably noticed the problems. There are ads all over them, you have to pay to download anything, and a lot of the wallpapers are just AI slop, made so you can be served more ads.
About 2 years ago I found a community of 3D artists, designers and photographers making really cool wallpapers, some of them with a story behind them. I wanted one place to get wallpapers like that for free, with no ads. So that's what Radiance is, and today we're launching Radiance 3.0.
Here's what you get:
• 1,800+ wallpapers made by 58 real artists. You can see who made each one, and artists tell you the story behind their collections.
• A design inspired by apps like Apple TV, so the wallpapers are the center of the app.
• Search by mood (just type "snow") and filters by style, like Liquid Glass.
• A way to see every wallpaper at your device's aspect ratio before you apply it.
• Quick Apply for Radiance Plus subscribers. Normally you have to download a wallpaper, open Photos, find it, tap share, then "Use as Wallpaper".
