quotidian

a personalized quote, insight, and reflection every morning

Most mornings start with noise. Quotidian is a quiet moment before the day takes over. Every morning at 6 AM your time, you get a quote, a short insight, and a reflection question, delivered via email or Telegram. The quotes are personalized to your intentions, from sources you love (from sci-fi to video games to poetry), and relate to your current life stage. Save quotes, write reflections, and get weekly reviews of how your thinking connects. Free, no ads, unsubscribe anytime.

Hey everyone! I'm Ben, solo founder of quotidian, building from Vienna.

I built this because I wanted something small and intentional to start my mornings with. Not a podcast, not a newsletter, not a content feed. Just one quote, one insight, and one question worth sitting with.

The personalization layer is the part I'm proudest of. You choose your intentions (like resilience, creative spark, or letting go), your favorite source genres (sci-fi, poetry, video games, whatever you're drawn to), and your life stage. The AI uses all of that to find something that fits your morning, without ever telling you why it picked it. It feels like a happy coincidence, not an algorithm.

Under the hood: Gemini Pro for generation, 7 diversity layers to prevent repetition (author dedup, perspective rotation, theme tracking), and a two-phase scheduler that pre-generates everything overnight so delivery at 6 AM is instant.

A few things I'd love feedback on:
- Does the landing page make it clear what you're signing up for?
- Would you want this via email, Telegram, or both? Any other channels?
- What sources or genres are missing from the list?

Free forever, no ads, no paywall. Would love for you to try it and tell me what lands and what doesn't.

Cheers
Ben

Who hunted quotidian?

quotidian was hunted by Ben. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
