I'm the solo dev/founder behind QuoteDash AI. Backstory: tradie mates kept losing jobs to slower quoting, not worse work — they'd nail the walkthrough, then lose the sale because the quote didn't land for another 2-3 days.
So the idea: you talk, it writes. Walk the job, describe the scope out loud like you would to a mate, and it turns that into a proper itemised quote or invoice PDF — ready before you've left the driveway.
A few things that mattered building this:
- Handles a real jobsite. Most voice apps use live dictation that garbles the second a compressor or table saw kicks in. This records the full clip first, then transcribes — so a bad take gets re-processed, not retyped from scratch.
- No signal, no problem for the basics. Full AI extraction needs connectivity, but you can still finish a quote from the raw on-device transcript with zero bars and send it once you're back in range.
- Not AU-only. Local currency and quote terminology for AU, UK, and US out of the box.
- Android only right now, free to try, no card required.
