Hi Product Hunt! I built QuestPly because I felt we were approaching kids’ screen time from the wrong direction. Most parenting apps focus on blocking, limiting, monitoring, or rewarding screen time. Those tools can be useful, but I kept thinking: what if screen time could become something kids actually learn to manage themselves? That became the idea behind QuestPly. Instead of simply saying “you have 30 minutes of screen time”, QuestPly turns screen time into quests. Kids can complete meaningful activities, learn, move, create, read, practice skills, and earn their way toward digital play. Parents set the goals, while kids get a sense of ownership and progression. I also didn’t want to build another app that assumes there is one perfect parenting philosophy. Families are different. Kids are different. So QuestPly is evolving toward a parent-guided, AI-assisted, community-powered learning ecosystem where parents can choose goals, discover content created by others, create their own quests, and eventually let AI help personalize the experience. And this is still just the beginning. The direction I’m taking QuestPly is not simply to add more features. I want to gradually evolve it from a screen-time management tool → quest-based learning platform → personal AI coach and family learning ecosystem. Some of the things we’re exploring include AI coaching, interactive learning, creative tools, games, live learning, community-created content, and eventually a much more dynamic world where kids can learn, play, create, and collaborate. I’m building QuestPly with a simple belief: Kids shouldn't have to choose between learning and having fun. And parents shouldn't have to choose between giving their kids freedom and keeping them on track. I’d love to hear from parents, educators, builders, and anyone who grew up with technology: What would you want QuestPly to become?
