Hey I’m Leonidas, the solo developer behind QueryDeck.
I built it because my database client and my codebase always felt completely disconnected.
Prisma and Drizzle understood my models, relationships, migrations, and environment. But the moment I opened a traditional database client, all of that context disappeared. I was back to copying connection strings and looking at raw tables.
QueryDeck is my attempt to close that gap.
Point it at a project and it can detect the ORM, find the database configuration, understand the application schema, and compare it with the live database to catch schema drift.
I also made a deliberate decision to build it natively in Swift and AppKit. QueryDeck is currently macOS-only, starts quickly, and doesn’t ship an Electron runtime.
It supports PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLite, MongoDB, and Redis, alongside SQL notebooks, ERD generation, EXPLAIN ANALYZE, Touch ID protection for production connections, and an MCP server for coding agents.
QueryDeck comes with a full 14-day trial. For launch, the Lifetime license is available for $79 instead of $149.
