Pulse
Self-hosted real-time collaboration for any website
Most collaboration SDKs are hosted SaaS: your users' comments live on someone else's servers. Pulse is self-hosted: one tag adds comments pinned to pixels, live cursors, presence, reactions, and voice/video notes to any website, backed by your own Postgres. The hard part is pins that don't drift: Pulse anchors each one to three DOM landmarks with barycentric coordinates and degrades through four fallback tiers, so pins survive reflows and redesigns. Multi-tenant, themeable, REST API.
I built Pulse because adding Figma-style collaboration to a product usually means either paying a big SaaS bill or spending months building WebSocket infrastructure.
Pulse is the third option: a self-hosted collaboration layer you add with literally one HTML tag.
What you get
📌 Pinned comments that actually stay pinned This is the hardest problem we solved. Pins are anchored using barycentric coordinates against three DOM landmarks, with a 4-tier fallback strategy, so they survive responsive layouts and even major redesigns instead of drifting or disappearing.

Who hunted Pulse?
Pulse was hunted by Krishna Thorat. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
