Publ

A simple ePub review tool.

ePub review tool for users, publishers & editorial teams. Create and share notes, highlight and annotate text or images, snap screenshots during content reviews – and more! No install, runs in browser, lightweight and privacy-preserving (no cloud).

Top comment

I created Publ because I was frustrated with the current crop of ePub review tools like Calibre, Thorium, etc, which are heavy, slow, clunky and not focused on editorial/publishing reviews. So this is a more focused app that helps you review, quality check, comment/markup and annotate ePubs in teams, including built-in screenshots and highlights, and everything you'd expect from other bulkier apps – except in a browser-based, lightweight and elegant design.

Who hunted Publ?

Publ was hunted by Luc. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
