ProjectPilot
AI-powered portfolio project ideas built for Aspiring SE
Most portfolio advice is generic — built for US devs, not Indian CS students targeting product companies or service giants. ProjectPilot gives you 5 tailored project ideas based on your skills and target role. Each idea comes with a step-by-step build guide, prerequisites, and interview questions — so you don't just build something, you can defend it in a room. Built by a final-year MCA student who was tired of the same todo app advice.
Hey PH I'm Aryan, a final-year MCA student from Bengaluru.
I built ProjectPilot because I kept seeing the same problem — Indian CS students (myself included) struggle to find portfolio project ideas that actually make sense for our context. The generic advice online assumes you're applying to US startups, not TCS, Flipkart, or a product company asking "why did you choose PostgreSQL over MongoDB?"
What ProjectPilot does differently:
→ You enter your stack + target role
→ It returns 5 project ideas tailored to that
→ Each idea has a full build guide, prerequisites, and interview questions baked in
The "deep dive" is the whole point. Not just "build a todo app" — but here's WHY this project works for your target company, here's HOW to build it step by step, and here's WHAT they'll ask you about it.
I'm a backend dev, so the AI layer runs on Gemini and the backend is Node.js + PostgreSQL. The frontend is intentionally minimal — I'm shipping value, not design.
Would love brutal feedback on the project ideas it generates. Try it at projectpilot.devbyaryan.me
