Project Aura Beta
Circuit design, unplugged from the desktop
Project Aura is a native iPad app for designing printed circuit boards — no desktop tether, just you and Apple Pencil. Built for engineers used to KiCad or Eagle who want a workflow that feels natural on a tablet: sketch schematics, route boards, preview in 3D, and source parts through DigiKey, SnapMagic, and TraceParts — all in one place. We're looking for beta testers to help shape it. Sign up for early access.
What inspired you to build this?
I wanted to be able to design a board from my couch, on a plane, in the car — anywhere — without hauling a laptop and juggling a dozen disconnected tools. That kind of portability just didn't exist for PCB design.
What problem are you trying to solve?
Existing EDA tools weren't built for how people actually want to work today. Component libraries, datasheets, calculators, sourcing — it's all scattered across different apps and browser tabs, tethered to a desktop. Aura brings all of it into one place, on a device you already carry everywhere.
