Hi Product Hunt! 🎣 We built Private Angler around a simple idea: keeping a useful fishing journal shouldn't mean publishing your fishing spots. You can log catches while adding a trip, record multiple species and baits, and keep the quiet days too—zero-catch trips are part of your history. Choose a spot on Apple Maps, drag the pin to fine-tune it, or leave location off. Current weather is available on request, and conditions can also be entered manually. No account, no public feed, and no ads. Your journal is stored on your iPhone; we don't operate a server that receives your fishing records. Apple provides maps, weather and purchases. The free version includes up to 25 catches. Pro offers unlimited catches, a journal-wide private map, filters, insights and catch-data CSV import/export, through an annual subscription or a one-time Lifetime purchase. CSV doesn't include photos or complete trips, and there is no journal cloud sync. Available now on the App Store for iPhone, iOS 17 or later. What do you most want to remember after a fishing trip—and what would make logging it easier? We'd love your feedback.
