PrivacyStage - NoAI
Dynamic screen sharing for Mac.
PrivacyStage creates virtual monitors on macOS, tags the app windows you choose, and shares only those in Teams, Meet, or Zoom, and the view follows whichever tagged window you're using.
Hey everyone,
I made PrivacyStage because screen sharing genuinely stresses me out. Every time I hit "share," my whole screen is suddenly out there. Notifications popping up, DMs, some random tab I forgot about, whatever is sitting on my other monitor. So I'd spend the last 30 seconds before every call scrambling to close things, and I'd still miss something.
There was a second, sneakier problem too. I work on a big external monitor, and when I share it, everything shows up tiny on the other end. People are squinting at my screen asking me to zoom in. Sharing a single app window helps, but then I'm stuck: the moment I need to show something else, I have to stop sharing and start again, pick the new window, wait for everyone to reconnect their eyes. Do that three or four times in a meeting and it gets old fast.
PrivacyStage is my fix for both.
You tag just the windows you actually want people to see, and only those ever show up. Everything else stays private, right there on your screen where it always was. It renders at a sensible, share-friendly resolution, so your stuff looks readable on the other side instead of shrunk down to nothing.
And you can add or remove windows from what you're sharing on the fly. No stopping, no re-sharing, no "hold on, let me share again." The best part is the shared view just follows whichever tagged window you click into. Bounce from your editor to your browser to your slides and what everyone sees keeps up with you automatically.
A few practical things:
• macOS 14+, runs natively on Apple Silicon and Intel
• Everything happens on your Mac. Nothing about your screen is ever sent to us.
• One-time purchase, no subscription. 3-day free trial with everything unlocked.
This is an early release and I'd really love your honest feedback, especially weird edge cases with different call apps and multi-monitor setups. I'll be around in the comments all day.
Thanks for taking a look :)
