Hi Product Hunt! I'm the maker of PrajnaLamp (般若心灯).
This is a companion for Chinese Buddhist reading and daily practice, rather than another general-purpose guided meditation app. The goal is to make it easier to open a sutra, find your place, and return to a small daily ritual.
What you can explore:
• Character-by-character pinyin above Chinese sutra text, with plain-language Chinese explanations for selected passages.
• Reading bookmarks and hands-free auto-scroll.
• Digital prayer beads for counting chants.
• Buddhist music, daily practice records, and lunar-calendar observances.
A few practical details: the app and its content are currently in Chinese, not English. iPhone and iPad users can use the App Store link; Android users can download the APK from our official website, which also includes installation instructions. Android is not distributed through Google Play. Premium unlocks are separate on the two platforms—please check the current pricing on the website and in the App Store.
I'd love thoughtful feedback, especially from people who read Chinese sutras or are learning to recite them: is the pinyin presentation clear, and what would make the reading experience more useful to you?
