PowerMode
Fall in love with typing again
PowerMode is a menu-bar app that reacts to every key you press, in any app on your Mac. A burst of color rises from the cursor, the last letters glow, rain or starlight can fill the whole screen, and every key clicks like a real mechanical switch. Eleven looks, one click each.
Typing is the thing we do most on a Mac, and it's the thing that feels like nothing. Key down, letter up, silence.
PowerMode makes it feel like something. A burst of color at the cursor. A glow on your last few words. A sky that rains or snows or fires off fireworks as you pick up speed. A real mechanical click under every key, in every app, not just your editor.
It counts keys and never reads them. Password fields stay dark. Stop typing and it's gone, no CPU.
Tell me which look you landed on, and tell me what annoyed you. Launch day is for the blunt comments.
Go make some noise. 🏴☠️

PowerMode was hunted by The Black Flagger. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
