Postdate
Messages and files that open when you choose
Share a message and files through one link that opens when you choose. Recipients see a countdown, then the reveal. Content is encrypted in your browser before upload. Set how long it stays available, and choose Standard or Timelock, which encrypts the key for a future drand release. Standard is free within 7 days and 1 MB. Anything beyond that is $3 per Postdate: Timelock, up to 100 MB, and dates up to a year away. Built for launch reveals, embargoes, surprises, and time capsules.
Hey Product Hunt, I’m Tony. I built Postdate so you can send someone a link now that opens later.
Add a message and files, pick an opening time, and share the link. Until then, anyone who opens it sees a countdown. You also choose how long the content stays available after it opens.
I’m interested in using it for embargoed press kits, creator releases, and time capsules. Your content is encrypted in your browser before upload.
Standard is free for up to 1 MB with an opening date within 7 days. Postdate holds the key until it’s time to open. For $3, Timelock uses the drand network to keep the key locked until the scheduled time, with up to 100 MB and dates up to a year away.
What would you use it for? And if you try it, let me know where you get stuck.

Who hunted Postdate?
Postdate was hunted by Tony Gaeta. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
