I was applying for jobs and kept getting no responses — not because I lacked experience, but because my CV was getting filtered out before a human ever saw it. At the same time, my portfolio looked great, but wasn't doing anything for my job applications.
I was maintaining both separately, manually copying the same information back and forth, reformatting every time something changed. It was exhausting and pointless.
