Pmarcai
Speed up the interviewer. Keep Marc Andreessen at your pace.
Marc Andreessen talks fast. His interviewers don’t always. pmarcai.com automatically switches YouTube playback speed when the speaker changes. Two sliders let you choose one speed for Marc and another for everyone else, from 0.5× to 3×. Hear Marc at normal speed or slower while moving faster through the questions. Free Chrome extension. No account required. Works on supported interviews listed on the website.
Hi everyone, Ryan here 👋
One playback speed doesn’t always suit both sides of a conversation—especially when one of those people is Marc Andreessen.
Speed up the interview and Marc becomes difficult to follow. Slow it down for Marc and the questions take forever.
So I built pmarcai.com: a free Chrome extension with separate speed controls for Marc and everyone else.
The default is Marc at 1× and everyone else at 2×. You can adjust both independently from 0.5× to 3×, and the extension switches automatically as the conversation moves between speakers.
It currently works on the interviews listed at pmarcai.com, using prepared speaker timings. It doesn’t recognise Marc across every YouTube video.
Install it, pick an episode from the library, and set your speeds. No account required.
I’d love to hear how it works for you—and which Marc interview you’d like added next.
An independent project, not affiliated with Marc or a16z.
