terminal based product manager
PM — open-source Product Manager CLI. Audits software products via a deterministic six-stage pipeline. generally it tries to understand what the builder wants to offer vs what the user journey actually looks like, finds the delta and comes up with high leverage ideas for improving using experience (product specs + prototypes). you need to bring your own claude api key to use it. tho it's open source so if u want support for other models, feel free to open an issue or create a PR :)
a lot of product management is understanding what job a user wants to get done thru your product, and then making sure every single thing they see on the screen corresponds to those jobs (and removing/hiding everything else that doesn't).
i built a little CLI that lets u do `pm init` in a codebase followed by `pm audit`, then it scans your codebase and understands what you've built and who you're trying to serve, and suggest opportunities to improve your product. the specific output is product specs markdown + low fidelity prototype.
it's a v1 and can definitely be improved and while i've tested it in a few personal hobby repos, i'd love to see more people try it and give feedback (whether you like its suggestions and implement them or if they're off for your project).
it's open source and i mainly built it for fun and to stay up to date with ai infra stuff
