Hi, I'm Mirco, the maker of PLwC Personal.
I've been developing PLwC since March 2026 around a practical need: I want an AI to help with local work and remember useful working context, while keeping tool access and changes to that context inspectable.
PLwC sits between the AI host and local tools. You define workspace boundaries, and profile or memory changes go through a proposed Governor plan and your explicit confirmation. It provides one local MCP gateway with eight tools for files, documents, sandbox execution, profiles and governance.
The current Personal release is for Windows 11 x64. You can use local MCP with Claude Desktop or the companion Chat Bridge with ChatGPT in Chrome and Brave. Docker is required for document and sandbox features. Personal and internal use are free under the published source-available license.
The AI model remains your choice. Content you send to that provider, including tool results returned to a chat, is still processed under the provider's settings.
I'm especially interested in feedback on the first installation and on whether the approval flow makes it clear what the AI is asking to do. The download, source, license and detailed English documentation are linked on the product page.
