Plumb
Improve your English while you talk, write, and take notes.
Plumb writes down what you type or say, catches your English mistakes, shows you why, and tracks how you improve. Everything runs locally on your Mac. Free. Open source. No account. No cloud. No internet required.
I built Plumb because I wanted to improve my English without sitting down to “study English.”
So I tried something different: what if I could just talk and write normally, and the app helped me improve along the way?
That is what Plumb does.
You can talk, write notes, capture ideas, or just use it like a normal notes app. Plumb catches your English mistakes as you go and helps you understand them.
The entire app is built in Swift and runs locally on your Mac using open-source AI models. No cloud, no account, and no internet required after the models are downloaded.
I would genuinely love your feedback. What would you add to make this something you would use every day?

Who hunted Plumb?
Plumb was hunted by Vineer. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
