Hi Product Hunt 👋 I’m Joseph, the founder and builder of PlayerCast VR.
The idea started with a simple question: what if a second Android phone could become the display inside a VR Box?
I wanted to keep the main phone in your hand, running the game, video, or app, while another Android phone inside the headset receives and displays it wirelessly.
Early versions were mainly about proving that the two-phone connection could work. As the project evolved, the focus became making the experience stable enough to feel like a real display system rather than just screen mirroring. That led to the current Controller → Display architecture and a 1080p/60 FPS streaming baseline.
PlayerCast VR is now built around a simple idea: reuse Android hardware you may already own to create a wireless personal VR display.
You can use it for supported Android games, videos, apps, and other content while keeping the Controller phone in your hand.
