Hey Product Hunt 👋
I'm Kerim, a web developer from Germany, and Plateful is the side project I've been building for the past year.
The problem was simple: my girlfriend and I cook a lot from TikTok and Instagram, and those recipes ended up buried in saved folders and screenshots. When it was time to cook, we never found the one we wanted.
So here's what Plateful does:
- Share a TikTok, Reel, YouTube video or any recipe site to the app. It picks up what's said, shown or written in the caption and turns it into a real recipe with ingredients and steps.
- Snap a cookbook page or a handwritten card.
- Ask the AI to make a recipe vegan, spicier or lactose free, or ask it a cooking question.
- Every recipe gets nutrition per serving automatically.
- Drag recipes into a weekly planner.
- Invite your household. Recipes and the plan sync in real time, and one subscription covers everyone.
This year I rebuilt the iPhone app from scratch in SwiftUI, and it just went live on the App Store. Android and web are there too, and the yearly plan comes with a 14-day free trial.
