Plain Markdown
Clean Markdown from any page. Summarize, edit, send to notes
Plain Markdown converts any webpage to clean Markdown in one click, right in your browser. No account, no signup. Edit it inline, run AI actions (summarize, fact-check, or your own prompts), then send to Obsidian, Readwise, or Notion.
Hey everyone 👋🏼
I built Plain Markdown because I was copying articles into my notes (and LLMs) and I would be spending time cleaning up. I made the version I wanted: One click and get clean Markdown. The conversion runs in your browser.
This is a relaunch. The first version just did the conversion. Since then I've shipped:
1) AI actions: summarize, fact-check, .. or run your own prompts on the page before you save it.
2) Destinations: Send to Obsidian, ReadWise, or Notion instead of copy-pasta
3) A lot of quality work on the conversion itself
I would love your feedback.

Who hunted Plain Markdown?
Plain Markdown was hunted by Petar. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
