It checks the generated file’s actual byte count before download and also includes resize, crop, lossless PNG optimization, file-size, pixel, transparency, aspect-ratio, PPI, and DPI inspection tools. Selected images are processed locally and are not uploaded to a PixelToKB server. No account is required.
Hi Product Hunt, I’m the maker of PixelToKB.
I built it for the recurring moment when a site asks for an image under an exact file-size limit, but common tools only expose a quality slider. PixelToKB keeps selected images in the browser, checks the generated file’s actual bytes before enabling download, and puts resize, crop, PNG optimization, and inspection tools around the same workflow.
The main limitation is intentional: if a target cannot be reached with the selected format and dimensions, the tool reports that instead of presenting an oversized file as a success.
Next on the roadmap are signature cleanup, photo-and-signature composition, A4/Letter print sheets, controlled enlargement, and additional interface languages after review. I’d appreciate feedback on the target-size workflow and format choices.
