Top comment

Hi everyone! I built Pitop Viewer because I wanted a macOS viewer that opens HEIC and RAW instantly without a heavy app getting in the way. It's built with Tauri (Rust + the system WebView), so the whole thing is ~24 MB instead of the hundreds an Electron app would need — and it still does light editing, video playback, thumbnails, a slideshow and a GPS map. It's free and open source (GPL-3.0), auto-updates, and installs via Homebrew. Feedback very welcome — especially on formats you'd like supported!
