I started freelancing online a few years ago at 19 because my local economy is not good (I live in the 3rd poorest country in the world). The economy is underdeveloped and banking is just as underdeveloped with the advent of also having restrictions on forex and online transactions while also not being as supported as the rest of the developed banking world. I like many other people rely on PayPal because by some miracle it is one of the very few platforms that actually allow people like me to get paid from international clients. I made PingPay so solve a personal pain... Chasing payments... As I started working with more clients and had repeating deliverables I realised that I was basically an agency but it didn't feel like it because I didn't have control over my money. Asking clients to pay invoices felt like begging and after so much time it felt like they knew they owned me because that payment was and is my livelihood and the thought of that sucked... One of my better clients did also tell me that it was annoying to manually pay me every month and asked me to auto charge him every month and that's when I looked into PayPal to see if I could do just that but bloody hell, not only is it not easy, I needed a website I could paste PayPal code snippets into and a few more snippets to the API. PayPal literally says "Give these to your developer"... scary and costly all around. So I decided to tackle it myself and it was too tedious to setup a website, buy a domain and host it etc... Not to mention PayPal's spaghetti documentation, like how do they expect regular people to do all of this? It was even worse for my case because again, my countries central bank limits online spending on every ones visa and you need invoices and explanatory documentation to begin a process of approval for more spending limit because my country is literally broke... so even more hoops to jump through, it felt defeating. Anyway, this is for anybody and everybody using PayPal to accept global payments and don't want to chase their clients ever again and make your business more professional by setting a standard process and skipping all the surprise negotiations. No begging for payments, no late invoices, no negotiations, no hassle with clients wondering why you didn't start the work when they didn't pay on-time and definitely no psychological games. Trust me, I have seen it all. There is a free forever tier so please, enjoy and good luck!
