I built PingBase after one of my side projects went down for 6 hours before a friend happened to tell me. I looked at existing monitoring tools and they were either enterprise-priced ($50+/mo) or so packed with features I'd never touch that I gave up setting them up.
PingBase is intentionally simple: HTTP(S) + heartbeat monitoring, a public status page you can share with customers, and alerts to Slack/webhook/email. Free for 3 monitors, $7/mo for 20.
