I created Ping.it after becoming a mom and suddenly experiencing what many parents call mommy brain. I constantly found myself wondering simple things: when did I last change the diaper, feed my baby, or give him a bath?
I tried reminders, notes, and habit trackers, but they’re all built around what you need to do next (usually at a specific time). What I actually needed was something simpler: a way to answer one question, “When did this last happen?”
That’s exactly what Ping.it does. You can:
- Tap to ping whenever you complete a task and record when you last did it.
- Customize each ping with a name, emoji, and color.
- Choose how elapsed time is displayed.
- Sort pings manually or by time remaining.
- Organize pings into custom lists.
- See your last activity and patterns over time.

TL;DR: I had mommy brain and couldn’t remember when I last changed the diaper, so I built an app that remembers for me.
