Pik

Stop Scrolling. Start Watching.

Pik is built for people who spend more time choosing a movie than actually watching one. The goal is to make movie discovery feel fast, fun, and low-stress. Instead of endless scrolling, Pik gives users a cleaner flow: swipe through curated options, save favorites, browse titles, and eventually get smarter recommendations based on taste and mood.

What started as a University project in my Web Design class became a really strong idea in my head over the course of my final college semester. I created Pik to try and stop the endless scrolling on streaming services just to not even pick a movie to watch. With a tinder-like swipe system you can save movies, while building a for you section to see what other movies you may like to see. This system works, why? because it is simple and extremely user-friendly. My goal was to provide something to help users save time while trying to relax, because that is what movie night is for, relaxation. Even though I launched this in mid August it is still inevitably in early and developing stages, hence why it is still Vercel deployed. If you have a minute or two I would love for you to just take a look at the website and let me know what you think! Regardless if it is good or bad because there is always room for improvement.

Who hunted Pik?

Pik was hunted by Peter W. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
