Top comment

I developed PIE's Camden Model originally for a different commercial question: when a company produces a public signal, does that signal represent a current, credible, still-winnable services opportunity for a particular provider? After watching countless YouTube videos about SaaS ideation, I realize I could build on the work I just spend a year on around predictive intent. PIE adapts that discipline from lead qualification to product-opportunity research. Instead of asking whether a services firm should pursue a company, PIE asks whether a founder should test a particular SaaS business. The subject changed. The underlying principle did not: interesting activity is not the same thing as a commercial opportunity.
