Hi Product Hunt 👋 I run a photo studio in Konya, Turkey. For years, the most frustrating part of my week wasn't weddings or portraits. It was passport photos. Someone walks in needing a photo for a German visa. Someone else needs a US passport photo, then a Chinese one. Every country has its own size, head ratio, eye line and background rule. We kept a printed cheat sheet next to the computer and cropped by hand in Photoshop. It took 5 to 10 minutes per customer, and we still got photos rejected at the consulate. When that happens the customer doesn't blame the consulate. They come back to you. So I built the tool I wanted to have. PhotoID Studio takes a photo you've already shot and turns it into a print-ready, standards-compliant document photo. It detects the face, measures the head ratio and eye line, crops to the selected country's official spec, removes the background, and lays out a print sheet with cut marks. 130+ countries are pre-loaded. Every export is checked against ICAO 9303 before it leaves, so problems surface in the studio instead of at the counter. A few decisions worth pointing out: It's not a photo app. It doesn't take pictures. It's the step between your camera and your printer. Photos are never stored. Cropping, sizing and layout run on your machine. Background removal and retouching send a downscaled copy to a GPU server, and what comes back is a mask, not a photo.
